Full leather with gilt border to the front and rear boards and decorative gilt details and gilt lettering over a black leather band to the spine. Solidly bound with some scuffing to the surfaces and some rubbing/bumping to the edges, corners and to the head and tail of the spine. Attractive marbled endpapers. Ink inscription to verso of front free endpaper. Frontispiece with tissue guard depicting King George 4th. Title page with engraving of the Upper Ward of Windsor Castle. The contents are age toned with some light intermittent foxing throughout. p.197 has a some loss to the top of the page, but this does not affect the text. A couple of minor tears but otherwise very good.
