Condition: In need of repair. Front cover almost detached. Otherwise very good. 
 
Full tree calf leather with five raised bands and gilt decoration/lettering to spine. The boards are in very good condition with minimal wear, except for the front board which is almost detached (quite literally hanging on by a thread). In need of repair and would make a good restoration project. 
Marbled endpapers. Contents lightly age toned with some minor foxing to the preliminary pages - otherwise clean and bright throughout. Ink inscription to the verso of the front free endpaper dated 1880 - pre-publication and possibly linked to author.
