This is a lovely first edition of World's Children by Mortimer Menpes. 4to. Large paper issue, signed limited edition, number 264 of 500 deluxe. White cloth with bevelled edges, gilt lettering and decoration in green and purple. Top edge gilt. Red silk page marker present. The boards are in good condition though there is some light soiling and tanning to the spine, and some light wear to the extremities. One hundred colour illustrations, under captioned tissue guards, by Mortimer Menpes. The pages are age toned with some foxing/browning. Deckle edged. pp.246. Large book. 28cm x 22cm.
