This is a beautiful and scare edition of Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales. Bound in black cloth with gilt decoration and lettering to the front cover and spine. There is some light rubbing and wear to the edges but the boards are clean and the gilt remains bright. Gold endpapers with black decoration. There is a crack to the front hinge but the binding is firm.
The contents are lightly age toned with a few minor spots of foxing. Ink inscription to the verso of the frontispiece dated 1915. Rough cut page edges. This is a particularly attractive edition of fairy tales.
