This is a wonderful collection of thirty-eight fairy tales, including titles such as Green Willow, The Sea King and the Magic Jewels, Tamamo The Fox Maiden and The Singing Bird of Heaven. It features sixteen illustrations in colour by the renowned British illustrator Warwick Goble. Bound in blue cloth which features a gilt pictorial detail to the front cover and gilt lettering to the spine. The boards are in very good condition with some light wear to the extremities and minor soiling to the surface. There is a small ink inscription to the front free-endpaper. Frontispiece with tissue guard. The contents are lightly age toned with some light intermittent foxing - otherwise clean and bright throughout. All edges blue.
