Taken from the original slip of paper that is inserted into the book, which introduces the contents and its characters: This book 'consists of twelve stories, each concerned with an episode in the life of one of Queen Mab's Daughters. These are very enterprising and adventurous princesses, somewhat wilful, indeed; and their activities, innocent though they are, often bring them into hot water.' 

 

This is a beautiful and somewhat rare book. Bound in the original publishers decorative cloth with a pictorial paste on to the front board. In very good condition with some light surface soiling and wear to the extremities. The contents are lightly age toned with some minor intermittent foxing.  Featuring twelve captioned colour plates which are all present and in good condition.  The top edge is gilt. A beautiful book.
