1914 First Trade Edition of The Admirable Crichton by J. M. Barrie.

This is a beautiful first trade edition of The Admirable Crichton by J. M. Barrie. Illustrated by Hugh Thomson. Undated. [1914] Published by Hodder & Stoughton. Bound in deep red cloth with an elaborate gilt design and lettering to the front cover and spine. The boards are in very good condition with some minor wear to the extremities. The spine has faded slightly. The pages are lightly age toned with some browning to the preliminaries and endpapers and a few light spots of foxing. With 20 tipped-in colour plates by Hugh Thomson each set within borders and behind captioned and pictorial paper-guards. pp.235.
