A new and revised edition of this witty collection of essays on food, gluttony, and the delights therewithin by Elizabeth Pennell. It begins with an essay on "The Virtue of Gluttony", followed by "The Most Excellent Oyster", "The Triumphant Tomato", "A Dish of Sunshine" and "Indispensable Cheese" to name a few. 
 
Orange cloth with black lettering to the front cover and spine. The boards are in very good condition with some light wear to the extremities and a small black stain to the upper left front board. Contents lightly age toned with some browning to the endpapers - otherwise clean and bright throughout.
