This is a scarce and beautifully illustrated account of the great polar expeditions, in an exceptionally attractive pictorial cloth binding.
 
Bound in dark green cloth with with an attractive pictorial design and gold lettering to the front cover, and gold lettering to the spine. The boards are in very good condition, with only minor wear to the extremities and a couple of light marks to the rear. The contents are clean and bright throughout with only the odd spot of foxing. 
 
A particularly lovely example.
