Bound in a black cloth with a pictorial paste on to the front cover and gilt lettering to the spine. The boards are in very good condition with some rubbing and bumping to the corners and to the head and tail of the spine and a few surface marks. Beautifully decorative endpapers with an ink inscription to the ffep.  The contents are very lightly age toned but otherwise clean and bright. Featuring nine full page colour plates [including the frontispiece] by the American painter, book illustrator and scenic designer Eleanore Abbott- collated complete. A beautiful edition of Grimm's Fairy Tales!
