This is a lovely edition The Elephant Road by Rene Guillot. Translated by Richard Graves and Illustrated by Don Higgins. First published in Paris in 1957. This copy published by The Bodley Head, London in 1959. Bound in light brown cloth with gilt lettering to the spine. The boards are in very condition with minimal signs of wear. Pictorial dust jacket which is unclipped [10s 6d net] and in good condition. There is some light soiling and some light wear to the edges including a small tear to the upper rear cover. pp.152.
