Title: Beeton's Every-Day Cookery and Housekeeping Book. Comprising Instructions for Mistress and Servants, And a Collections of Over Sixteen Hundred and Fifty Practical Receipts.
Illustrated: With numerous wood engravings and one hundred and forty-two coloured figures, showing the proper mode of sending dishes to table.
Author: Isabella Beeton.
Publisher: Ward, Lock and Co: London.
Published Date: Undated. c.1890.
Pagination: pp.404 + publisher's catalogue.
Condition: Good.
Green pictorial cloth with black lettering highlighted with gilt to the front cover and spine. The book is in good overall condition. The boards have some rubbing and bumping to the extremities and surface wear, including a white mark to the rear board. There is a crack to the front and rear hinge and the binding feels very slightly loose, but the contents are holding firm with the exception of the rear free endpaper which is detached. The contents are good overall - there is some browning to the preliminary pages and some intermittent foxing, but otherwise they are clean.
A decent copy which has obviously been well used.
