This is a lovely set of the works of Jane Austen, which, despite the discolouration to the boards and dust jackets, is in very good condition and complete, which is unusual.  The set consists of the following works: Northanger Abbey; Mansfield Park; Pride and Prejudice; Persuasion; Sense & Sensibility; Emma and Lady Susan/The Watsons. 
 
Each volume has discolouration to the spine which is best shown in the images provided. The front boards are generally a more vibrant blue and less discoloured. Each volume has an ink inscription to the front free endpaper dated 1943. The contents are all lightly age toned but otherwise in good clean condition. The dust jackets are all quite worn around the edges with small tears to the upper and lower spines, discolouration to the spine. Emma and Lady Susan both have some loss to jacket at the upper spine, which can be seen clearly in the images provided.
