This lovely book is jam packed with some of the most popular fairy tales, as well as many lesser known ones. Titles include Rumpelstiltskin, Snow White and Red Rose, The Bottle Spirit and The Three Brothers.

It is a somewhat scarce edition, bound in the original publisher's red pictorial cloth and whilst it is showing some external signs of wear, it is in good condition overall. The front board and spine are a little faded and there are a couple of pale marks to the rear board. Please see images provided. There is also some rubbing and bumping to the edges, corners and to the head and tail of the spine. Gold patterned endpapers which have some minor pink marks to the edges. There is a crack to the front joint but the contents feel solidly bound. Ink inscription to the flyleaf dated 1902. The contents are lightly age toned with some occasional handling marks, the occasional minor crease or tear to a page edge, and spots of foxing. Beautifully illustrated with both vignette and full page illustrations as well as two lovely chromolithograph plates.
