This is a particularly attractive edition of Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress. Bound in a vibrant blue cloth with a gilt panel to the front cover which is decorated with green and pink flowers. The bevelled boards are in very good condition - there is some shelf-wear and rubbing to the extremities. Floral endpapers which have some browning and an ownership label to the front pastedown. There is a crack to the front hinge but the book is solidly bound. There is an ink inscription to the upper title page - the contents are otherwise clean and bright throughout with some light spotting to the page edges. Featuring fifty-eight beautiful illustrations in both colour and black and white by J. D. Watson, and a memoir by John Allen.
