This is a particularly attractive edition of the children's classic, The Swiss Family Robinson. Bound in the original publisher's green cloth, featuring a pictorial paste on to the front cover and gilt lettering to the front cover. The bevelled boards are in very good condition. There is some light wear to the extremities and a small mark to the rear board, but the colours are vibrant and bright. Pictorial endpapers which are clean and free from inscriptions. The contents are lightly age toned with the odd handling mark, but nothing significant. There are a couple of pencil notations by a previous book seller to the upper half title page. Pictorial title page. With four full page colour plates and numerous in text illustrations in black and white.
