The foreward to this fairy story begins 'There were millions of Fairies in England in the days of Queen ELizabeth...' It then goes on to explain the characteristics of Fairies, Goblins, Robin Goodfellow & Craistors before the story begins.
Firmly bound in brown cloth with pretty pictorial paper covered boards. There is some rubbing and bumping to the extremities and light surface wear to the boards but they are in very good overall condition. Internally the contents are clean and bright throughout. There is an ink inscription to the front free endpaper and a small ink name/address to the flyleaf. Beautifully illustrated with sixteen colour plates and numerous black and white. The coloured plates are vibrant and retain their original charm.
