This is a particularly striking set of the works of Charles Dickens, bound in blue cloth with a decorative gilt crest/design to the spines. There are fourteen volumes in this set and the titles are as follows:

Bound in blue cloth with an attractive gilt decoration and lettering to the spine. The boards to all volumes are in very good overall condition - there is some rubbing and bumping to the extremities and light surface wear/soiling to the boards and some volumes have marks - Nicholas Nickleby has a small faded patch to the rear board, David Copperfield has a small black mark to the front board and A Tales of Two Cities has light splash marks to the front board - all superficial. The contents of all volumes is also very good. The pages are lightly age toned with some light intermittent foxing here and there, but overall they are clean and bright. Some light soiling/spotting to the page edges. Illustrated with a frontispiece in colour, and further colour illustrations within. The frontispiece to The Pickwick Papers is loose but sits neatly in place. Twelve volumes are numbered on the spine, but The Life of Dickens and Our Mutual Friend are not.
 
Overall this is a stunning set which looks beautiful on the shelf.
