This edition stands out because it is prolifically illustrated with incredibly detailed line drawings. Bound in the original publisher's red pictorial cloth with gilt lettering to the front cover and spine. The boards are in very good condition. There is some surface soiling/discolouration and light rubbing/bumping to the extremities. The contents are age toned with the odd minor spot of foxing, but nothing significant. A greetings card [single page] has been attached to the front free endpaper and the half title page is partially detached. The contents are otherwise firmly bound and very good. A beautiful edition.
