Blue pictorial paper covered boards with some wear to the edges and to the head and tail of the spine but otherwise in very good condition. Pale pink pictorial endpapers with minor spots of foxing but nothing significant. There is an ink inscription to the verso of the front free endpaper dated 1948. The contents are clean and bright throughout. The illustrations in this book are simply beautiful. Eileen Soper was a well known children's book illustrator who illustrated her own work as well as books for other authors, most notably Enid Blyton and Elizabeth Gould.
