This is a lovely book featuring a collection of poems written by Aileen Cleveland Higgins and beautifully illustrated by Jessie Willcox Smith, one of the great illustrators from the 'Golden Age' of American illustration. 
 
Bound in grey cloth with a pictorial paste on to the front cover. The boards are in very good condition and the illustration is vibrant and bright - there is some light wear to the extremities and some discolouration to the cloth, including some fading to the rear. Beautifully illustrated endpapers and title page. The contents are lightly age toned with some light occasional foxing, but nothing significant. A very good example.
