Bound in the original publisher's terracotta pictorial cloth with gilt lettering to the front cover and spine. The boards are in very good condition overall - there is some light rubbing to the extremities and to the surface of the boards and some bumping to the head and tail of the spine. The contents are lightly age toned but otherwise very good. Small ink inscription to the upper front free endpaper. The title page and tissue guard to the frontispiece have some browning and elsewhere there is some light intermittent foxing/brown spots.
