The 'Ameliaranne' books are about Ameliaranne Stiggins, who is the eldest child of six. Her mother takes in washing to earn a living, but her father is never mentioned. The books were written by a number of different authors, but always illustrated by Susan Beatrice Pearse, and published by George G. Harrap & Co. Ltd. 

 

This lovely book has pictorial paper covered boards with a blue cloth spine. The boards are in very good condition with some light rubbing and bumping to the extremities and minor surface soiling. Pictorial endpapers which are clean and bright. The contents are lightly age toned but otherwise clean throughout. Prolifically illustrated in colour. Complete with the original un-clipped dust-jacket which is in fair-good overall condition. It has some surface soiling, wear to the extremities and a tear to the upper spine.
