Accompanying each pop-up is a folding booklet containing a story about a lion, written by Alain Presencer. These bedtime stories are: The lion and the fox; The lion, the mosquito and the spider; The lion, the jackal, the panther & the brave kid, and The lion and the carpenter.
 
It is in very good condition. All pop-ups are in full working order. The only minor tear that I can see is to the man's robe on the final page, though it does not affect the mechanism at all.
