This is a lovely vintage edition of Little Women, bound in grey cloth with red pictorial paper covered boards which are in very good condition. There is some rubbing and bumping to the corners and light surface wear, but that is all. The contents are clean throughout and free from inscriptions. The pages are lightly age toned with some light intermittent foxing and the final page is heavily browned. Featuring eight beautiful tipped in colour plates by the artist and illustrator Norman Little. Each plate is dated 1910. 
 
I hadn't heard of this illustrator and so did a little research. He studied at the Royal Academy School from 26 July 1904 to July 1909 and by 1911 he was an established illustrator. During the First World War he served with the Royal Fusiliers 11th Battalion as a Lieutenant and was sadly killed in action, aged 33 years, on 13 March 1917.
