Full red Morocco with gilt tooling to the front and rear boards and in between each of the five raised bands to the spine. The boards are in good overall condition. There is some surface soiling and some rubbing and bumping to the edges, corners and to the head and tail of the spine. See photograph for image of rear board which shows a couple of dark marks and a small area to the upper left of the board where a piece leather has come away.  The contents are heavily foxed to the preliminary and endpapers, but with only light occasional foxing throughout the main body of the text. Ink inscription to the front free endpaper. Cracks to the front and rear hinge - rear hinge has a tape repair. Despite this, very solidly bound.
