Solidly bound in the original publisher's red decorative cloth with gilt lettering to the front cover and spine. The boards are in very good condition with light wear to the extremities. The rear board does have a faded strip to the upper board, most likely caused by exposure to the sun. There is a prize sticker to the front pastedown dated 1905. The contents are lightly age toned with some heavier foxing to the preliminary and end pages, and light intermittent foxing elsewhere. Publisher's catalogue to the rear of the book.
