Description:
Light brown cloth featuring a pictorial paste on to the front cover and black lettering to the front cover and spine. The boards are in good condition with some rubbing and bumping to the edges, corners and to the head and tail of the spine and some light surface wear/minor soiling. The pictorial paste on to the front cover has some loss to the left hand corner and left side. Beautifully illustrated endpapers in colour, with a book seller's sticker to the front pastedown. There is an ink inscription to the verso of the ffep which reads 'To dear Gertrude, With best wishes for a very very happy birthday. With best love from your dear father and dear mother.' The contents are lightly age toned with some intermittent spots of foxing, but they are otherwise in good, clean condition. Featuring 48 beautiful colour plates by A. E. Jackson.
