Bound in the original publisher's blue pictorial cloth with red lettering to the front cover and spine. The boards are in very good condition with some light wear to the extremities and minor fading to the spine. Plain endpapers with an ink inscription dated 1942. Contents age toned but clean and bright with only a few minor spots of foxing. Beautifully illustrated in both colour and black/white. The illustration facing page 114 has a tear to the lower edge - this affects the margin and approx 0.5cm of the actual image. A very good example of this lovely book.
