Despite missing a volume, this set sits beautifully on the shelf and looks very attractive. Bound in the original publisher's decorative cloth. All volumes are in good condition. The bevelled boards have wear to the edges, corners and to the head and tail of the spine, with a few marks to the surface. Dark brown endpapers which are clean and free from inscriptions. The contents are lightly age toned with some light intermittent foxing which is slightly heavier to the preliminary and end pages. Overall a lovely set.
