This is a rare, early impression of C. S. Lewis's wonderful story, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. The book is bound in pale blue cloth with silver coloured lettering to the spine. The boards are in very good condition with a couple of barely noticeable marks to the front cover and light shelf wear. The contents are also very good: it has some light age toning to the pages and a 'library mouse' ownership stamp to the front free endpaper with a date written in pencil, a bookseller's sticker to the lower left front pastedown and minor browning to the title page. The dust jacket is in good condition overall, it has been price clipped and there is a closed tear to the front cover measuring approx 6cm. It is otherwise very good, with only light wear to the extremities and a minor tear to the head and tail of the spine. Aside from a few spots of browning to the white areas on the jacket, it is nice and clean. In a protective mylar cover.
