First edition. Original pictorial boards which have some light soiling and wear to the extremities, but are otherwise in very good condition. Illustrated in line by Mary Tourtel.  The 'book belongs to' has been filled in, but all cut-outs are present. Small pencil mark to the rear paste down.
 
Lofts and Adley, 'The Rupert Index', page 50. The 1953 printing of this work, with 120 cut-outs rather than the 200 referred to by the front board, and with the tale 'Rupert, the Witch and Tabitha' removed, though still mentioned to the title page.This work contains four tales first authored by Mary Tourtel between 1926 and 1932: Rupert in Trouble Again, Rupert and the Old Man of the Sea, Rupert and the Wilful Princess and Rupert Goes Hiking.
 
Overall a lovely copy of this somewhat scarce book.
