This is a lovely example of Andrew Lang's The True Story Book. It is the second edition, published in 1893, the same year as the first. Solidly bound in the original publisher's blue cloth, decorated in gilt to the front cover and spine and in very good condition. There is some rubbing and bumping to the extremities and a few minor surface marks. All edges gilt. Black endpapers which are clean. Inscription to the half title page. Frontispiece with tissue guard. There is a crack to the front hinge but the contents are holding firm. Contents lightly age toned with some light intermittent foxing throughout.
