This is the seventh of the Rev. Awdry's railway books - Toby the Tram Engine and his coach Henrietta are retired from service due to lack of use. However, when the famous tank engine Thomas turns out to be ill-equipped to take workmen to the quarry due to his loud whistle and sleek design, Toby comes to the rescue.

 

Bound in the original grey boards featuring an illustration and titles to front board in red. The boards are in near fine condition with almost no signs of wear. Contents very mildly age toned but otherwise beautifully clean and bright throughout. The unclipped dust jacket [4/6 NET] has some light surface soiling, some light wear to the edges including a small tear to the lower rear cover and a piece of loss to the upper rear cover.
