A rare survivor, this lovely children's book belongs to the Little Mother Stories series. It features the most wonderful illustrations which remain vibrant and bright. In the original pictorial boards, there is some wear to the extremities and some surface marks to the boards. The front free endpaper is missing, but the contents are otherwise complete. The pages are lightly age toned with some browning, intermittent foxing and some handling marks - it has clearly been well read. There is a child's pencil drawing on one page and a few faint pencil marks here and there (pictured). A couple of pages, including the rear free endpaper, are partially detached. 
 
I would describe this book as in good overall condition, but it is fragile and needs careful handling. Given its scarcity, I think it needs to find a quiet forever home.
