This scarce children's book has been carefully rebound with the original cloth laid over to the front board and partial cloth laid over the spine - the endpapers have been replaced.  It is now solidly bound and will inevitably survive for many more years. The original cloth has marks, as shown in the images provided, and the boards have some wear to the corners, particularly the bottom right front board. The contents are in very good condition - lightly age toned with a few spots of foxing, but otherwise beautifully clean and bright. The illustrations are wonderful! Overall a beautiful book which was without doubt worthy of restoration.
